Read “英語のユーモアを磨く”

英語のユーモアを磨く” is a book about humor in English.

Learning humour, wordplay and related cases help me to understand different culture when I jump into them. For example, ice break in speech and conference in English are typical cases. Of course, my recent work is also relevant.

The book brings me some insight. The humour is not sarcasm, more irony, but I think for some Japanese persons feels some examples of humour are more sarcasm. At least many friends of mine think so. Meanwhile, I could know idioms and humour. “What’s in a name?”, “You Too Brutus” etc.

It is necessary to practice to get used to handling humour well, but the book could be a good the first step 🙂
