[Documentation] Learn Technical Writing – One

Google published a great course to learn technical writing for software engineers. https://developers.google.com/tech-writing/one

I’ve felt it was different to write proper sentences in several situations when I wrote documentation like OSS world, thesis, articles and books. I would have liked to learn technical writing in English for software engineering world as my study Then, I found the awesome course.

I learned English technical writing for some situations, but haven’t experienced software engineer focused one. I hope this learning will help my documentation in OSS / API documentation etc.

I finished one course so far. I got impression below quote the most in the course. I didn’t read the meaning but I’ve thought the difference.

In America, reserve which for subordinate clauses that are nonessential parts of the sentence, and use that for an essential phrase that the sentence can’t live without. For example:
