Read “The form of knowledge” ~ ちのかたち

ちのかたち 建築的思考のプロトタイプとその応用. “The Form of Knowledge – The Prototype of Architectural Thinking and Its Application” is the English title. All of description in the book were written in both Japanese and English. It describes various projects about architecture such as housings and buildings.

It shown various theme, process stuff like super liner process but they tried to get concepts by software development, Agile, collective knowledge for design and develop chair design with deep learning.

The chair narrative was interested. They collected “chair” images in the internet, but search it in various languages. Each language had been reflected their own cultures. They got different shape of chairs in each language and provide them to deep learning system to teach them. Then, the learning system generated original chairs. Finally, they built “general” chairs mixed all of each language’s chair. We could know such technologies had an ability to learn history and develop new ones.

This kind of books are a bit far from my expertise, but we can inspire/influence each other. It is very interesting 🙂
