I read [改訂新版]マインドマップから始めるソフトウェアテスト which is renewed software testing book. Ordinary, the was published in 2007. We never get new the book via Amazon etc recently even if it is very helpful for Test/QA engineers.

Mindmap tools are very useful toolset to break our thought down and arrange them. I like it very much. I often use the method in many situations.

In testing activities, we usually create test cases on spread sheet or Excel. But as same as development, test also has design and techniques. The concrete test cases in spreadsheet appear after the design phase.

Mindmap helps then. We can spread our thought in the map, categorise them and re-structure if we need. It might lead to a well-considered design for testing. It reduces the risk of poor test cases.
